RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES WHEN USING THE CLEAN ENERGY
SUMMIT WEBSITE. PLEASE READ THEM CAREFULLY.

Acceptance of Terms
Cleanenergysummit.org is hosted by the Clean Energy Project (“CEP”), in
partnership with the Center for American Progress (“CAP”), MGM Resorts,
International, (“MGM”), the offices of United States Senator Harry Reid (“Harry
Reid”), and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (“UNLV”) (collectively, “we,” “the
Parties,” or (“us”). All site-related content and services (collectively,
“Cleanenergysummit.org”) is provided by the Parties. Your use of
Cleanenergysummit.org is subject to your compliance with the terms and conditions
set forth in this Terms of Use agreement (”Terms of Use”), which supplement any
additional guidelines or other terms posted by us in relation to specific site-related
services or content. Although you can access and read portions of
Cleanenergysummit.org just by visiting the site, you may have to sign up to use
certain features–such as receiving newsletters or updates.
Please note that we reserve the right to update or modify the Terms of Use without

About Us; Purpose of Cleanenergysummit.org
The Center for American Progress is a progressive think tank dedicated to improving

Nevada Senator Harry Reid is the driving force behind the creation of the National
Clean Energy Summit and is the leading supporter of developing Nevada’s abundant

and federal support for renewable energy development, especially in Nevada. In 2009,
he led passage of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act which has invested
hundreds of millions of dollars in Nevada and helped the state become the nation’s
renewable energy leader. Since Nevadans first elected him to the Senate in 1986,
Reid has developed a reputation as a consensus builder and a skillful legislator
who takes care of Nevada first. He is currently serving in his fifth term for Nevada.

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas, or UNLV, offers a broad range of respected
academic programs and is increasingly recognized as a premier metropolitan research
university. The university is ranked in the category of "high research activity" by the
Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching. With approximately 22,000
undergraduate students and 6,000 graduate/professional students, UNLV offers close
to 120 graduate degree programs, including 36 doctoral and professional degrees.

Proprietary Rights and Re-Use Policy
You acknowledge and agree that the information and materials presented on or
through Cleanenergysummit.org will remain the property of CAP, CEP, MGM, and
UNLV and/or their licensors or providers, and are protected by copyright, trademark,
patent, and/or other proprietary rights and related laws, rules and regulations. The

All information provided by you or collected by us during visits to
Cleanenergysummit.org (including when you register to become a member or sign up
to use certain features) is governed by the Privacy Policy of CEP, which is hereby
incorporated into the Terms of Use by this reference. Additionally, your name and email address
will be shared with SenatorHarry Reid. the University of Nevada, Las Vegas,  
MGM Resorts, International, and the Clean Energy Project.


Information provided by use will not be used by MGM Resorts, International for
promotional purposes.

Jurisdictional Issues
Cleanenergysummit.org is controlled and operated by CEP from its principal office in
the Las Vegas, NV U.S.A., and is not intended to subject CAP, UNLV, CEP, MGM,
or Senator Harry Reid to the laws or jurisdiction of any other state, country or
territory. Those who choose to access Cleanenergysummit.org do so on their own
initiative and at their own risk, and are solely responsible for complying with all local
laws, rules, and regulations.

Termination
You agree that we, in our sole discretion, may terminate your use of
Cleanenergysummit.org or any part thereof, at any time and for any reason, including
if we believes that you have violated or acted inconsistently with the spirit of the

Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless CAP, CEP, MGM, UNLV, and
Senator Harry Reid and our directors, officers, employees and consultants, from and
against any and all claims, damages, losses, costs (including reasonable attorneys’
fees) and other expenses that arise out of or from: (a) your activities in connection
with Cleanenergysummit.org; (b) any violation of these Terms of Use by you; or (c)
any allegation that any submissions or other materials you submit to us or transmit to
Cleanenergysummit.org infringe or otherwise violate the copyright, trademark, trade
secret, or other intellectual property or other rights of any third party.

Miscellaneous
These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the
District of Columbia, United States of America, without regard to its conflict of law
principles. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of any court located in the
jurisdiction of the District of Columbia, United States of America, and waive any
jurisdictional, venue, or inconvenient forum objections to such courts, in any matter
arising out of or related to Cleanenergysummit.org or these Terms of Use. If any
provision of these Terms of Use is found to be unlawful, void or for any reason
unenforceable, then that provision will be deemed severable from these Terms of Use
and will not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions. We
may assign our rights and obligations under these Terms of Use. These, together with
all policies referred to herein, is the entire agreement between us relating to the
subject matter herein and supersedes any and all prior or contemporaneous written or
oral agreements between us with respect to such subject matter.
